The tool might be great if it works...

Hi, guys.
Casio is revolutionizing the way we’ll see static pictures from now on and Katty Mann (me, duh!) can’t wait to share these hi-tech news with you. Get to know the concept of out-of-the-box dynamic pictures with the Casio Exilim High Speed series.

Casio’s high speed digital cameras can take up to 1200 frames per second. Let me re-phrase the previous sentence: you press the shutter and the camera takes up to one thousand two hundred high-definition pictures in a second. With its massive storage capability, you don’t need to worry about not having room enough in your memory card.

Why you will love having a high-speed camera?
Slowing down time, you can catch things the normal eye or common cameras just can’t, like:

• a clear-cut smile while riding a roller coaster
• flames and smoke
• falling drops of water in the rain
• what happens when a balloon explodes
• a magician’s hands performing card tricks
• the circular rotation of wings of a hummingbird flying backwards or upside down (Katty Mann’s totally off-topic note: no other bird can fly backwards or up, down and sideways—not to mention upside down!— and they beat the wings 60 times per second)

Take pictures before you press the shutter
Even before you press the shutter, the camera already pre-recorded 20 frames per second. This incredible feature allows you to never miss an important event because you pressed the shutter too late. Catch:

• the exact moment the bat hit the ball
• how a ball is deformed when kicked
• a dart about to hit bull’s eye

But there’s more! An auto-panning feature on fast actions allows you to maintain focus on a moving subject and to blur the background to enhance the impression of motion. Your skateboarding jumps will remain sharp without disturbing objects behind the skater.

How to make Dynamic Photos
Dynamic photos are a totally new way to make pictures. Since high-speed shooting prevents fuzzy pics, with an Exilim camera you can completely remove a background and insert a moving subject in front of a static picture. Create impossible scenes, like

• shooting yourself jumping on the surface of Mars
• your best friend fighting a lion
• kid’s toys throwing plasma balls across the bedroom
• using your own drawings as part of a live scene

Follow these simple steps to make creative dynamic photos that will amaze your friends:

1. Shoot the subject in action
2. Shoot the same background without the subject. The in-built software in the camera will now extract the subject in motion with precision. You don’t need a computer!
3. Shoot the new background.
4. Share the animated photo through email or cell phone, hang it on a web page or place it on a picture frame.
